Inktober: An Overview
Inktober is an annual drawing challenge that takes place throughout the month of October. It was created by artist Jake Parker in 2009 to encourage artists to improve their inking skills and develop a daily drawing habit. Each day of the month, participants create an ink drawing based on a specific prompt, culminating in a collection of artworks by the end of the month.
